The benefits of fully integrating this Air Drive Design are immense: optimal weight balance for smooth operation, a light and responsive rotational feel that integrates seamlessly with the tackle, heightened sensitivity to even slight fish strikes and changes in the current, and significantly reduced line trouble frequency. This design significantly minimizes body flex under high loads, delivering strong winding power through Daiwa's unique technology. The engine plate, also aluminum, screws into this monocoque body, ensuring the internal structure is solidly supported by the full metal body. The drive gear inside has undergone a special surface treatment to enhance hardness and reduce damage under heavy loads. The main shaft, transmitting this power to the front unit, is made from SUS, which is even more rigid than aluminum, maximizing performance without power loss.
