Introducing the First "Monocoque Body" in LB Reels: Evolution of LB's Core Performance

For the first time, the LB reel features a "Monocoque Body"! This advancement enhances the core performance of LB reels with improved rigidity and waterproofing. The monocoque body delivers silky smooth rotation, increased winding power, enhanced rotational durability, and better waterproofing.

The exterior design is also meticulously crafted, with a shining spool and glittering paint that stands out in sunlight, reflecting the prestige of tournament use. The lineup includes the 'Kyougi' model, which boasts the fastest retrieval length in Daiwa LB history with a gear ratio of 7.6 and a retrieval length of 114 cm per handle rotation, evolving the concept of "competition high gear."

Additionally, the 'Oomono' model is designed to handle large fish, with a gear ratio of 6.8 in the monster-compatible model (3000XH-LBD) and a power model with a gear ratio of 5.3 (3000LBD). The spool maintains compatibility with long-standing designs, and the handle knob can be swapped (size S), with SLP Works handles also being compatible. Thanks to the screw-in handle design, handles from 40 mm to 60 mm and double handles can be attached.

MONOCOQUE BODY

This design incorporates a one-piece frame and a one-piece threaded side plate. Because screws are not necessary to attach the side plate and hold the main gear, the interior space in the body is greater allowing for a larger more powerful gear held in place by the lighter, sturdier body rather than the traditional side plate

MAGSEALED

The Mag Sealed principle is based on special magnetic oil, which has been developed by the NASA to transport fuel to the space ships based on the magnetic principle. Such oil for reel production is not available in the market. It has to be manufactured under most difficult circumstances. The embedded ferric oxide, which is necessary for the magnetic field, has a diameter of 1/100.000mm.
The molecules in this new "metal oil" are capable of changing. If they are exposed to a magnetic field, they change their shape and the oil forms a fluid seal.
Such a seal, based on the principle of liquid magnetic oil produces nearly no friction, isolates perfectly and prevents even penetration of dust particles.
The big challenge for the DAIWA engineers was the development of a reel, which is designed for the principle of the magnetic oil to generate a kind of liquid membrane that prevents water penetration.
The Mag Sealed design is based on the purpose to keep water away from a spinning reel. First of all for sea anglers this is an amazing idea - since delivers a longer life span; no corrosion and better, pro longed function. If salt water penetrates the reel and dries, it crystallizes, corrodes the gearing and affects the ball bearings. Mag Sealed halts the travel of salt particles.

MAGSEALED LINE ROLLER

The line roller section is a part that directly receives water and sand picked up by the line. Improving the water resistance of the line roller, which is subjected to these harsh conditions, contributes to maintaining the initial performance of the line, such as the feeling of rotation and sensitivity. In addition, salt and foreign matter are drastically reduced. In addition, the improved rotation also improves the reduction of line sagging.

BITURBO BRAKE SYSTEM

The use of a titanium disc achieves twice the braking efficiency of conventional discs and delivers intense braking force. Braking response is also shortened to 1/4 of that of conventional discs until the required braking force is reached.

ATD TYPE L

New ATD TYPE-L drag technology improves the initial drag system response. Lowering the peak drag max upon hook setting. Light tackle fishing especially requires a responsive and sensitive adjustment of the drag pressure.

ATD TYPE-L allows anglers to have more control of the drag without stress during the fight. By not overloading the line and also causing less stress to the fish, powerful fish can be tamed easily with 22 EXIST.
