18 SURF LEADER CI4+ are equipped with X-PROTECT line rollers and high-strength brass pinion gears to enhance durability. Pursuing a lightweight advantage, we have introduced the NEW CI4+ rotor and X-PROTECT line roller to ensure a smooth line retrieval experience. The heart of our reels, the pinion gear, is made of high-strength brass to enhance performance, durability, and operability.

In addition to the SD35 with high-speed drag, we also offer the lightweight and compact 30. Our reels maintain their full functionality while achieving a weight of only 370g.

HAGANE GEAR

A block of metal is pressed under high pressure and finished to micron-level precision without cutting. This unique technology, known as precision cold forging, produces gears that are hard, tenacious, and smooth to wind.

X SHIP

X-Ship provides improved gear durability. By supporting the pinion gear on both ends with bearings, the pinion gear maintains precise alignment with the drive gear. This means the gears will stay in the same position under the heaviest loads. The added benefit is that friction between the spool shaft and gear are eliminated. This will enhance the casting performance of the reel with lighter lures, and allow for longer casts.

X PROTECT

By combining our water repellent coating and our specially designed, water channeling, labyrinth construction, X-Protect provides high-level water resistance without sacrificing light gear and rotor rotation.

G FREE BODY

G Free Body technology has been developed to shift the reel's center of gravity closer to the rod. By moving the center of gravity closer to the anglers hand position, the G Free Body helps to reduce fatigue and enhance casting comfort.

PARELLEL BODY

Parallel Body is designed to improve dynamic line flow from the reel to the first guide. On many reels the spool is aligned slightly upwards towards the rod blank, but with Parallel Body it is at exactly 90° to the blank. The result is less line slapping the blank as it travels towards the first guide during casting.
