At the heart of its mobility, the tuned MAGMAX motor balances torque and instantaneous power. The motor housing, made with aluminum components, provides excellent heat dissipation and durability for a tough setup. Additionally, the MEGATWIN-PRO allows for smooth gear transitions between power and speed without any shocks.

The tough drag ATD system continues to perform smoothly, handling sudden runs from large fish with ease. For operability, the one-hand comfortable operation JOG power lever enables instant retrieval, maintaining control. The fall brake dial allows instant adjustment of drop speed, effectively capturing mid-water reactions of bait and squid.

In terms of durability, the waterproof and durable technology of MAGSEALED ball bearings ensures the initial performance is maintained. The counter section features a large dot LCD, visible even when using polarized glasses under direct sunlight.

MAGMAX MOTOR

The MAGMAX motor is a custom motor specifically designed for DAIWA electric reels. At the heart of the motor system is a “special neodymium magnet,” an ideal magnet that generates high torque even at low speeds with minimal load, combining toughness and power. It supports delicate output adjustments such as “slow reeling” and “gentle boat-side stop,” and the responsive brush motor excels in providing instant power.

JOG POWER LEVER

By moving the power lever to the center of the body and changing its shape to a jog dial style, you can control the reeling and clutch on/off with just the thumb of the hand holding the rod. This completely frees your other hand from lever operation, allowing you to focus entirely on rod handling. The precise control with just one thumb enables subtle adjustments to the lever and lets you manage the reeling speed exactly as you wish.

MEGATWIN PRO

Featuring a special neodymium magnet, the slide brush motor excels in responsiveness and durability. It offers exceptional instantaneous power and has four times the durability of the traditional MAGMAX motor. The reeling operation is entirely under the angler’s control, and the high torque makes slow reeling effortless.

MAGSEALED BALL BEARING

With its proprietary technology, DAIWA has become the first in the world to successfully apply Magsealed technology to the ball bearings themselves. The magnetic fluid barrier prevents water and foreign substances from entering the ball bearings, maintaining their original rotational performance while significantly reducing rust, saltwater intrusion, and noise.

ATD
