Shimano's highest-end casting reel, the Kisu Special, has been reborn with a highly anticipated 45mm stroke. It features an optimal balance design called "Rigid Cast" that suppresses body and main shaft flex. This design provides rigidity and lightness that can withstand casting shocks, resulting in stable release timing and significantly improved distance and accuracy. It is also the first casting reel to feature Infinity Drive and Silent Drive, providing overwhelming winding power and delicate winding comfort. The Kisu Special is a reel that deserves to be called the best in terms of distance, rigidity, lightness, and feel. Enjoy the sensual cast feel created by the long stroke and new mechanism to your heart's content. We offer two models: the Super Slow Compe Edition and the standard Extra Fine. Both models come with a replacement spool equipped with a 45mm stroke spool as standard.

The Competition Edition has tightly wound line that reduces resistance during release compared to Extra Fine. On the other hand, Extra Fine is lighter due to its simple internal parts. We recommend Competition Edition for those who want to pursue greater distance and Extra Fine for those who want to pursue lightness.

HAGANE GEAR

A block of metal is pressed under high pressure and finished to micron-level precision without cutting. This unique technology, known as precision cold forging, produces gears that are hard, tenacious, and smooth to wind.

X SHIP

X-Ship provides improved gear durability. By supporting the pinion gear on both ends with bearings, the pinion gear maintains precise alignment with the drive gear. This means the gears will stay in the same position under the heaviest loads. The added benefit is that friction between the spool shaft and gear are eliminated. This will enhance the casting performance of the reel with lighter lures, and allow for longer casts.

HAGANE BODY

The HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body rigidity and impact resistance virtually eliminates body flexing. The result transforms the angler's actions directly into cranking power. It's efficiency through strength.

INFINITY DRIVE

The Infinity Drive structure is a more advanced version of the conventional X-SHIP structure that created exceptionally light winding. The main shaft, which had previously been supported by the pinion gear, is now supported by a new and unique low-friction bushing that significantly decreases frictional resistance. In addition, the main shaft has undergone a proprietary surface treatment and special processing to drastically reduce rotational torque, constructing a reel that can actively wind even under heavy loads.

RIGID CAST

Optimally balanced design of rigidity and lightness. By minimizing deflection of the reel caused by large impacts during casting, the timing of release is stabilized. As a result, accuracy as well as casting distance is improved.
