Weighing 490g and equipped with the standard AIR cord, this reel’s lightness enhances sensitivity. Despite its lightweight and compact design, it boasts 1.1 times the winding power and 1.3 times the drag power (compared to the 19 SEABORG 200J).

In terms of operability, the newly integrated motor ON/OFF clutch allows for seamless one-hand operation. The JOG winding position remains unchanged, offering responsive start-up when the clutch is ON, and accurate detection of bites during fall when the clutch is OFF due to motor stoppage.

Combined with the aluminum JOG power lever, this reel achieves even more comfortable one-hand operation. It also features a highly visible dot LCD counter, depth alarm, and electronic drag sound function. Smooth hand winding performance is displayed on the LCD counter.

The robust single handle and quick-recovery double handle options allow for versatility depending on the target.

MAGMAX MOTOR

The MAGMAX motor is a custom motor specifically designed for DAIWA electric reels. At the heart of the motor system is a “special neodymium magnet,” an ideal magnet that generates high torque even at low speeds with minimal load, combining toughness and power. It supports delicate output adjustments such as “slow reeling” and “gentle boat-side stop,” and the responsive brush motor excels in providing instant power.

MAGMIGHT

The structure maximizes the power of the motor by making full use of the limited space within the electric reel. It achieves high power and high speed in a compact space. Additionally, the improved motor cooling effect contributes to further enhancing motor drive efficiency.

JOG POWER LEVER

By moving the power lever to the center of the body and changing its shape to a jog dial style, you can control the reeling and clutch on/off with just the thumb of the hand holding the rod. This completely frees your other hand from lever operation, allowing you to focus entirely on rod handling. The precise control with just one thumb enables subtle adjustments to the lever and lets you manage the reeling speed exactly as you wish.

MAGSEALED BALL BEARING

With its proprietary technology, DAIWA has become the first in the world to successfully apply Magsealed technology to the ball bearings themselves. The magnetic fluid barrier prevents water and foreign substances from entering the ball bearings, maintaining their original rotational performance while significantly reducing rust, saltwater intrusion, and noise.

ATD

The ATD (Automatic Tournament Drag) system operates smoothly in response to fish pulling, providing continuous, smooth performance. By focusing on initial movement and responsiveness, it allows you to concentrate on the fight without worrying about drag settings.
