Mega Power & Mega Speed “AUTOMATIC MEGA MONSTER”

Based on the SEABORG 500MJ, this flagship model features an aluminum JOG, a NEW fukase clutch system, and an automatic stop function, offering mega power and mega speed. It is versatile enough to target a wide range of species, from yellowtail and amberjack to multiple hooks of squid and bottom fish in mid-depths, including the prestigious Gentatsu fukase yellowtail.

At its core is the MAGMAX motor, which combines torque and instantaneous power. The motor housing is made of aluminum for excellent heat dissipation and durability. The MEGATWIN-PRO system allows for seamless switching between power and speed gears without shift shock. The tough drag ATD smoothly handles unexpected big catches, ensuring control and smooth drag during the fish’s run.

For ease of use, the aluminum JOG power lever allows for one-handed operation, maintaining control with instant retrieval. The fall brake dial can instantly set the drop speed, making it ideal for capturing mid-layer reactions from squid and bait fish during drop fishing. Durability is enhanced with waterproof and durable MAGSEALED ball bearings that maintain initial performance. The counter features a large dot LCD that remains clear even when using polarized glasses.

New additions include the “NEW fukase clutch system” and the “automatic stop function,” making the AUTOMATIC MEGA MONSTER suitable for various targets year-round.

MAGMAX MOTOR

The MAGMAX motor is a custom motor specifically designed for DAIWA electric reels. At the heart of the motor system is a “special neodymium magnet,” an ideal magnet that generates high torque even at low speeds with minimal load, combining toughness and power. It supports delicate output adjustments such as “slow reeling” and “gentle boat-side stop,” and the responsive brush motor excels in providing instant power.

MAGMIGHT

The structure maximizes the power of the motor by making full use of the limited space within the electric reel. It achieves high power and high speed in a compact space. Additionally, the improved motor cooling effect contributes to further enhancing motor drive efficiency.

JOG POWER LEVER

By moving the power lever to the center of the body and changing its shape to a jog dial style, you can control the reeling and clutch on/off with just the thumb of the hand holding the rod. This completely frees your other hand from lever operation, allowing you to focus entirely on rod handling. The precise control with just one thumb enables subtle adjustments to the lever and lets you manage the reeling speed exactly as you wish.

MAGSEALED BALL BEARING

With its proprietary technology, DAIWA has become the first in the world to successfully apply Magsealed technology to the ball bearings themselves. The magnetic fluid barrier prevents water and foreign substances from entering the ball bearings, maintaining their original rotational performance while significantly reducing rust, saltwater intrusion, and noise.

ATD

The ATD (Automatic Tournament Drag) system operates smoothly in response to fish pulling, providing continuous, smooth performance. By focusing on initial movement and responsiveness, it allows you to concentrate on the fight without worrying about drag settings.
