The Shimano Power Aero TD (Twin Drag) is a power model packed with Shimano's latest technology, including a twin-drag that is indispensable for catching big fish. The Infinity Drive provides powerful winding, while Rigid Cast provides a solid feel when casting, and Silent Drive provides silent winding for comfortable and spacious big game fishing.

The reel is equipped with X-Protect to improve waterproof performance and high-durability drag washers and Dura-Cross to achieve further evolution. In addition, the drag knob assembly has been compacted without compromising operability, resulting in a significant weight reduction of 10g or more (※).

HAGANE GEAR

A block of metal is pressed under high pressure and finished to micron-level precision without cutting. This unique technology, known as precision cold forging, produces gears that are hard, tenacious, and smooth to wind.

X SHIP

X-Ship provides improved gear durability. By supporting the pinion gear on both ends with bearings, the pinion gear maintains precise alignment with the drive gear. This means the gears will stay in the same position under the heaviest loads. The added benefit is that friction between the spool shaft and gear are eliminated. This will enhance the casting performance of the reel with lighter lures, and allow for longer casts.

HAGANE BODY

The HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body rigidity and impact resistance virtually eliminates body flexing. The result transforms the angler's actions directly into cranking power. It's efficiency through strength.

INFINITY DRIVE

The Infinity Drive structure is a more advanced version of the conventional X-SHIP structure that created exceptionally light winding. The main shaft, which had previously been supported by the pinion gear, is now supported by a new and unique low-friction bushing that significantly decreases frictional resistance. In addition, the main shaft has undergone a proprietary surface treatment and special processing to drastically reduce rotational torque, constructing a reel that can actively wind even under heavy loads.

RIGID CAST

Optimally balanced design of rigidity and lightness. By minimizing deflection of the reel caused by large impacts during casting, the timing of release is stabilized. As a result, accuracy as well as casting distance is improved.
