After nine years, the Metanium DC has been reborn as a neo-versatile machine. The low-inertia MGL Spool III, with a balanced combination of light start-up and long casting performance, features a versatile 34/19mm size. The reel is equipped with a DC brake that instantly adjusts the braking force by detecting spool rotation changes with a microcomputer. The new firmware enhances long casting performance and backlash prevention.

The S3D spool, designed to reduce vibrations, and Silent Tune maximize casting performance. The Micro Module Gear, supported by X-SHIP, ensures smooth winding. Additionally, the high rigidity and lightweight design are achieved with the Core Solid Body. MICRO MODULE GEAR

State-of-the-art, gear tooth surface design and MicroModule Gear II, are further advanced through Shimano's exclusive manufacturing technology. The surfaces of the drive gear and pinion gear have been analyzed and updated from the ground up in pursuit of perfection. Further improving smooth gear feeling and reducing sound.

X SHIP

X-Ship provides improved gear durability. By supporting the pinion gear on both ends with bearings, the pinion gear maintains precise alignment with the drive gear. This means the gears will stay in the same position under the heaviest loads. The added benefit is that friction between the spool shaft and gear are eliminated. This will enhance the casting performance of the reel with lighter lures, and allow for longer casts.

HAGANE BODY

The HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body rigidity and impact resistance virtually eliminates body flexing. The result transforms the angler's actions directly into cranking power. It's efficiency through strength.

MGL SPOOL 3

The MGL III Spool is an ultra-thin spool that thoroughly pursues low inertia. The spool has a reduction in inertia by about 15% compared to the second-generation MGL Spool by using a narrow shape with a width of 19 mm for the outer diameter of 34 mm. Resulting in unparalleled casting performance.

CORESOLID BODY
