Jigging-Specific Lever Drag: A New Strategy for Tackling Giant Fish

The lever drag system is not only easy to operate and visually manage but also offers superior drag performance that resists heat buildup, making it ideal for prolonged fights with tuna. Although lever drag systems tend to increase handle resistance as drag force is increased, the newly developed Infinity Drive structure reduces handle resistance by 30% compared to previous models under high drag conditions.

The reel features a new large T-shaped handle knob and a 105mm cold-forged handle, designed for battling large fish. The Ocea Jigger series boasts several meticulously crafted features, including a frame shape that facilitates easy thumb control (thumbing) and a drag lever designed for optimal operability. Additionally, a drag cam for light line is included, making the reel versatile for various fishing conditions.

HAGANE BODY

The HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body rigidity and impact resistance virtually eliminates body flexing. The result transforms the angler's actions directly into cranking power. It's efficiency through strength.

INFINITY DRIVE

The Infinity Drive structure is a more advanced version of the conventional X-SHIP structure that created exceptionally light winding. The main shaft, which had previously been supported by the pinion gear, is now supported by a new and unique low-friction bushing that significantly decreases frictional resistance. In addition, the main shaft has undergone a proprietary surface treatment and special processing to drastically reduce rotational torque, constructing a reel that can actively wind even under heavy loads.

X PROTECT

By combining our water repellent coating and our specially designed, water channeling, labyrinth construction, X-Protect provides high-level water resistance without sacrificing light gear and rotor rotation.

S COMPACT BODY

S-Compact Body allows for all-day comfort and improved fishability by making the palming side plate up to 25% smaller than A side plate.
