A powerful bait reel designed to take on the biggest and strongest fish.

The spool has been made thinner and narrower for improved casting performance, and the number of SVS brake pins has been increased from 6 to 8 to provide better anti-backlash performance.

The large 43mm spool and extra-high 7.9 gear ratio enable quick lure operation right after landing on the water. Choose between the standard 45mm handle or the longer 51mm handle for a comfortable and secure grip.

MICRO MODULE GEAR

State-of-the-art, gear tooth surface design and MicroModule Gear II, are further advanced through Shimano's exclusive manufacturing technology. The surfaces of the drive gear and pinion gear have been analyzed and updated from the ground up in pursuit of perfection. Further improving smooth gear feeling and reducing sound.

X SHIP

X-Ship provides improved gear durability. By supporting the pinion gear on both ends with bearings, the pinion gear maintains precise alignment with the drive gear. This means the gears will stay in the same position under the heaviest loads. The added benefit is that friction between the spool shaft and gear are eliminated. This will enhance the casting performance of the reel with lighter lures, and allow for longer casts.
